Max Capacity is referring to the amount of liquid it is designed to lift, not the size of the pot. For example, you can use a Miksa Small Pot Lifter with a 2L pot as long as it only has 600 ml in it. The capacities for the aluminum versions are generally based on the physical effort needed to generate the leverage to lift the weight of the pot and the liquid. If you are extremely strong, you may be able to use the Small size to lift more than 600ml but this will be unlikely for most. Contrarily, the large and extra large pot lifters will require less effort to lift smaller pots with less water. However, the capacity limits for the carbon fiber pot lifters is based on how strong the actual material is, please do not exceed the max capacity listed for the carbon fiber pot lifters.

I want 4 things from gear: they work, they last, they are light and finally pack well. This little beauty does all four. Engineering excellence from a little company. It actually works better than my much heavier pot lifters.
