Description
Ultralight and full size camp chairs are great, unfortunately they can’t always make it on backcountry expeditions due to weight and size. A take on what our ancestors used, but with cutting edge materials, look no further than the Puttuck Ultralight Backcountry Strap Chair – an adjustable strap that clips and wraps around you, allows effortless rest, while providing back and spinal support, as well as prolonged comfort during cross legged (and variations of it) sitting. Not to mention the plethora of additional uses a adjustable strap with a buckle can have around camp…belt? backpack repair? poop strap? tie down? carry sling? You name it, we got it covered. My personal favorite is using this inside a tent, during cold winter trips when you have to melt snow for hours…it will save your back.

Specifications:
Puttuck Regular: 2″ Wide Strap x 8.25′ Long (120 grams/4.28 oz.)
Puttuck UL: 2″ Wide Strap x 8.25′ Long (64 grams/2.28 oz.)
The regular and ultralight version are identical in geometry with the only difference being the material of the strap. The UL strap uses the lightest 2″ webbing we could find so it will fold down about twice as small as the regular. The webbing on the UL version will slip in the buckle without tension, whereas the webbing for the regular version is very thick and will hold similar to any backpack strap.
Both versions will hold hundreds of pounds and the weakest point will actually be the buckle itself. If you are taller than 6’3″ please send an email before ordering and we can add additional length to the webbing to ensure it is long enough.
Don’t want to buy one? No problem, make your own from webbing and some buckles you can find at a hardware store.
Think we invented this? Nope, it has been around since the dawn of time. Used by people all over the world, take a look at a meditation strap, Gomthag, or Padma seat. The Puttuck Strap Chair is simply utilizing advanced materials to achieve what was once done with what was available.
