WELCOME
TO
SULUK 46

Thank you for visiting the website of Suluk 46. We design and build backcountry gear for the Ultralight Backpacking Community.

The gear you see here will push the limits of strength to weight ratios. You will find that this truly is the place where engineering meets backcountry equipment. This website was created to document, share, and improve the designs and gear I have been building. However, you'll notice that I also use this website for several other aspects related to the backcountry. Please take the time to browse through the website, learn about the products, read the trip reports, gear lists, and of course check out the R and D section for cutting edge creations.

UPDATE

Finally!!! I have a new episode of 'On The Trail' up in the videos section. This episode features an overview of my Nunatak Raku.

Check out the newest addition to the R&D section - Revision 2 of the TWC's are up!

Sold out of the TiCa Ice Tools at the moment, I do have what is called "seconds" available which have minor flaws but are offered for only $150 USD. Just send me an e-mail if you are interested.

In an attempt to make ordering easier, I have implemented a form that you fill out to request products. Instructions are on the order form, which is linked from each product page. I think it's pretty user friendly, but let me know if you are having any problems.

COMPANY
INFO

I am a 32 year old mechanical designer with a passion for wilderness, adventure, and backpacking - typically in ultralight style! Meshing my background in machine design and stress analysis with backpacking is how this company came to be. I design, prototype, and manufacture most everything you see on this website. If there is a product which falls outside of my capabilities, I will use manufacturers in the local area when possible. I believe strongly in keeping work within North America and always have everything manufactured in either Canada or the United States of America.

I am always looking at pushing the limits with new gear or techniques. If you have any great ideas, I'd love to hear about them or maybe even design and build them. Feel free to send me an e-mail anytime!

See you on the trail,
Steve Evans
