Are you looking for the absolute lightest bivy sack on the market? Look no further, seriously, you found it. This is as light as you can get without sacrificing size. Designed for those that strive for the lightest possible pack weight. The CR bivy is stripped down to the raw basics for the ultimate in weight savings. The bottom and hood is made of the lightest weight cuben fiber available, while the top body section is made from a 0.9 oz 20D Nylon (DWR). Designed to be used underneath a shelter (ie. Tarp, Tent, etc.), this bivy will fend off rainspray, snow, wind, and other elements that make it past your primary shelter. In order to save weight, there is no zipper on the opening of this bivy. The hood is designed to be short, which causes it to sit open allowing your breath to exit (see pic). There is a small overlap between the hood and the body to create a tighter seal in nasty weather. Size and comfort were not sacrificed to achieve this final weight, it is full sized, the pictures on the left show my 0*F sleeping bag in the bivy.
